As we learned late last week, Kate Beckinsale’s husband has been stepping out with a 20-something a lot recently. Beckinsale has been working in Prague for a few months, and Len Wiseman stayed behind in LA, and he’s been seen in the company of “model” CJ Franco, an attractive woman who is 18 years younger than him (he’s 42, she’s 24). When TMZ reported Len’s outings, they made it sound like Kate and Len’s marriage seemed pretty much “over.” And it is, although no one has made any official announcements. Instead, “sources” have been leaking news of a months-old separation to anyone who will listen.

“They tried to make it work, but they end up falling back into old habits and fighting,” one source explains to Us.
Beckinsale has been busy shooting Underworld 5 in Prague while her now-ex has been photographed out with model CJ Franco in Los Angeles. On Tuesday, Nov. 17, Wiseman hit up West Hollywood hot spot The Nice Guy with the 24-year-old brunette. The director first stepped out with Franco on Oct. 2 and has been noticeably without his wedding band.
People Magazine also says Kate and Len have been “separated for several months,” but People’s source claims: “They are still friendly and spend time together in L.A. when Kate is there…there has been no drama. It’s just not Kate’s style. They have both had complicated schedules and have grown apart.” Yeah… no drama right now. Wait until the 24 year old comes into the picture in a bigger way. Still, sources claim that Len’s interest in CJ Franco is simply “a genuine connection based on a friendship.” Yes, of course. Of course a 42-year-old still-married douchebag would have a genuine connection with a 24-year-old model. DOUCHE CLICHÉ.
Anyway, I find that I am a little bit sad for Kate. I like her and I hope she realizes she could do a lot better.
