Hempstead Car Accident: Two dead, several injured following fiery Friday night crash on Hilton Avenue.

Four people were hospitalized and two people died in a crash that happened in Hempstead on Friday night, December 22, 2023.

At approximately 11 p.m., according to detectives, a 2005 Chrysler collided with another vehicle on Hilton Avenue while it was driving east on Fulton Avenue.

The Chrysler failed to stop at a red light, sped away from the scene, and subsequently struck three additional cars.

The Chrysler caught fire and was completely consumed by flames after the collision. Two persons were found dead at the scene after becoming trapped inside the car, according to the authorities.

All four of the other injured who were hospitalized as a result of the crash are expected to recover.
